PadMan faces plagiarism allegation |
Have you already seen the Pad Man movie? I guess so and as expected it’s doing a great job in the theatre and is being given good reviews by the critics. While the success stories are fetching the attraction of everyone, the movie has also been accused of plagiarism averment. Writer Ripu Daman Jaiswal has filed an FIR against Akshay Kumar.
He stated that most of the scenes of the Bollywood movie Pad Man have been taken from a script send by him to Dharma Productions of Karan Johar. He also said that the fiction scene of Raksha Bandhan has been copied from his script while Mr. Muruganantham has no sister in real life.
He has also shared some of the screenshots of those email that have been shared to Ryan Stephan by him. Pad Man faces accusations:
“One and a half years ago, I had written and registered a film based on the works of Arunachalam Muruganantham and Saati biodegradable sanitary pads. Have you heard about them? Yup, Arunachalam Muruganantham is the guy who had made low-cost sanitary pads for rural women. I had registered the film on 5th of December 2016 from SCREENWRITER ASSOCIATION and sent to Ryan Stephan (Karan Johar`s production -- Creative head) and personally to Vikram Aditya Motwane. And you know what happened? After ten days on 16th of December 2016, I heard the news that Mrs. Twinkle Khanna revealed that her production is making a film based on his life, starring AKSHAY KUMAR.” as per a statement by the writer posted on his Facebook account.
In his more recent tweets, he affirmed that 11 scenes have been copied from his script which makes him confident enough to go to the court for legal judicial actions.
